Graphic Design Projects

Prevention First –
Statewide Health Campaigns
Over the past three years, I’ve served as the lead designer for six statewide prevention campaigns with Prevention First, a public health organization focused on youth and family wellness. Each bilingual campaign required the creation of 80+ deliverables, ranging from posters, newsletters, and info cards to social media graphics and large-scale banners. I developed concepts from initial creative direction through final production, delivering fully packaged design files in both English and Spanish. These campaigns were distributed to schools and communities across Illinois, helping to promote healthier behaviors and spark meaningful conversations around topics like underage drinking and cannabis use.

Howling Mad Brewery Logo
For this project, I was tasked with creating the branding for my client's new brewery, Howling Mad Brewery. He provided me with the company name and requested that I try and include a wolf somewhere in the logo. From here I sketched out a few concepts. Once he decided which concept he wanted to expand upon, I provided a handful of variations. We worked together revising the design by making a few slight adjustments until he was happy with the final product. Since his brewery is still in the very early stages, he currently plans on using the logo on stickers and transferred onto glasses. Moving forward, he would like to expand by incorporating the logo onto apparel as well as other marketing materials. This logo was created using Adobe Illustrator.

Designer Lable Co Logo
The Designer Lable Co logo was created in the hopes of capturing the essence of company creator, Lindsey Able. As a company, Designer Lable Co relates to a peacock in the sense that the company portrays adaptability, extravagance and modernity. This logo was created using Adobe Illustrator.

Magazines
During my time spent working at Knighthouse Media, one of my main responsibilities was to layout various industry magazine covers/spreads. These magazines were created for print and digital editions using Adobe InDesign.

Print/digital ads
While at Knighthouse Media, I was also responsible for creating ads to appear in our print publications, digital publications as well as on the company website. These ads were created using Adobe Photoshop and occasionally Illustrator.

Digital Illustrations
Having a passion to draw/paint from a young age, I decided to try my luck using the paint brush tool in Photoshop. Using reference photos found in various magazines, stock photos, and even my own photography, I began with a base sketch layer using the pencil tool. From there, I used various paint and blending brushes in Photoshop to create these illustrations! With practice, I was able to make the illustrations look as though they could be photographs.

DU Star Newspaper
During my time at Dominican University, I had the opportunity to work on the Dominican Star, the university newspaper. While working on the Star, I was able to layout various stories as well as 2 full color spreads. This was a great way to strengthen my InDesign as well as Photoshop skills. It was also my first experience working closely with editors.

Christmas Digital Illustrations
During the holiday season of 2020, I used a program, Procreate, to illustrate these patterns. After sketching out rough base drawings with a graphite brush, I added color and texture. These patterns can be used as wrapping paper, gift tags, and even as digital wallpapers.

A Light That Never Goes Out Cover
In the fall of 2020, I was asked to create a book cover for, A Light That Never Goes Out. This anthology revolves all around the common theme of hope. After discussing ideas with Neon Sunrise publishing, we decided we wanted to go with the imagery of hands holding a flame. After a few rounds of revisions, we finally landed on a design that made us both happy. This design was illustrated using Adobe Illustrator. A fun detail that I included is the repetitive pattern of hand written script 'hope' intertwined throughout the flame.
